This Week in Astrology #127 - 8-31-09

A mystical Pisces Full Moon is our brightest spot this week. We'll also discuss a Saturn-Chiron quincunx (how's your health?) and Mercury-Mars square (bite your tongue before you bite off someone's head!).

We have lots of juicy topics in Part 2, including highlights from the ISAR Astrology Conference I just attended (you'll definitely want to hear the challenging economic forecast!), feedback from our last two Part 1 chart people, how to communicate the benefits of astrology to the uninitiated, how to become a professional astrologer, and more!

And in Part 3, I use mundane astrology to look at the current state of US health care reform, examining transits and progressions to the charts of Barack Obama and the USA.

This Week in Astrology #126 - 8-24-09

An intense (and possibly violent) Mars-Pluto opposition dominates the week, further energized into a challenging T-Square by Mercury. We'll discuss how to move from fear into empowerment with this energy. There are also three sign changes: Mars into Cancer, Mercury into Libra and Venus into Leo.

This is a Part-One-only show, so you'll be in and out before you know it!

This Week in Astrology #125 - 8-17-09

There is such an orgy of transits this week -- about 20 of them! -- it's hard to know which one to feature. Every planet, Sun thru Pluto, is playing its part in an astrological Mahler symphony! I will mention a New Moon in Leo and two yods ("Fingers of God"), but I'll leave you to discover the rest of the transits as you listen to Part 1!

In Part 2, we dive into Mercury keywords and intercepted signs and planets, and get detailed "reality check" feedback from the owner of last week's Part 1 chart. And in our live Part 3 consultation, we look at whether a woman in her 50's should go back to school -- and how her Aquarian/Uranian ingenuity has helped her succeed in her career without a college education.

This Week in Astrology #124 - 8-10-09

Mars is this week's headliner: he trines the Three Aquarians (Neptune, Chiron and Jupiter) throughout the week, and breathes life into the long-running Saturn-Uranus opposition with a challenging T-Square. Also noteworthy are the Sun's oppositions to Jupiter and Chiron, and a Mercury-Saturn square.

In Part 2, an L.A. voice coach emails with a promising solution to the issue of my talking too fast for some listeners, we learn whether Mars will appear as large as the Moon this month, and a listener offers tips on talking with your planets. And in Part 3, I speak with an aspiring writer about which genres his chart supports (sci-fi, horror or adventure?) and how astrology can be used to help flesh out fictional characters.

Finally, this is the first show in which I am using compression to smooth out and boost the volume of the final mix. Can you hear the difference, and do you have an opinion about it?
